MARSHFIELD COLUMBUS LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE (MCLA)
Meeting times/location: The group meets about every other week for approx 30 minutes during Flex A. Weekdays and locations may vary.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Marshfield and Columbus Leadership Alliance (MCLA) is to educate and motivate students to take an active role in reducing substance use/abuse, preventing bullying/harassment, and bringing awareness to mental health concerns and resources in
Yearly Events: The group holds an annual retreat each October in which year-long plans are discussed. Past endeavors have included "Pour it Forward" events, T-shirt Design Contests promoting positive school/community culture, Mental Health Education lessons, etc.

Mission Statement: The mission of the Student Council shall be to serve as the elected government of the Student Body. The members of Student Council shall serve as the conduit between the student population, MHS staff, and school administration, where the focus is to have student leaders oversee the various clubs and organizations within the school, and to run key events designed to raise money and awareness for charities, scholarships, and school improvement projects.

Youth Service Learning (YSL)
YOUTH SERVICE LEARNING (YSL)
Meeting times/location: Students should watch the display case outside Room 66 or listen to announcements for volunteer opportunities. They should get Volunteer Confirmation Forms in Room 70 and turn their hours in to the baskets in Room 70 or give them to Miss Goettl in Room 70 before school through Flex A.
Annual Club Fee: $0
Mission Statement: The Youth Service Learning program is a non-credit opportunity for students in grades 9-12 to become involved in their community and school district.
Yearly Events: **Students volunteer their time at various locations in the community and within the school district at their convenience. We don't have any required activities, as each student has different interests, contacts, and time available.
Awards/Recognitions: Students who volunteer 100 hours or more (at least 60 of the hours in the community) earn the President's Volunteer Service Award & recognition on their transcripts.
