The Marshfield School District Board of Education recognizes that substance misuse is a serious problem with legal, physical, and social implications for the entire school community. As the educational institution of this community, the schools should strive to prevent substance use disorders and help those with substance use disorders by educational, rather than punitive, means.
Toward this goal, age appropriate interventions and education are offered at each level within the district. Examples are offered below.

The AODA Coordinator ensures proactive programming within the district as well as maintaining and evaluating data related to incidents, prevention, interventions, and effective programming.
