• Required Parent and Athlete Meeting

The Athletic Department is taking a different approach to our required information meetings this year by focusing on new families to the buildings and district. We will spend time focusing on information pertaining to practice times, schedules, grades, team splits, SportsYou, and various other things.  The meetings are building specific and middle schoolers must attend at the Middle School, and high schoolers must attend at the High School.

The below opportunities are the only options for athletes to attend for the 2024-2025 school year.  If your child is even remotely interested participating in athletics at the Middle School and you have not attended a meeting for this child in the past, your child and a parent MUST attend one of these meetings.

    Meeting Dates:

Tuesday, May 21st @ 4:30 in the MMS Cafeteria (Fall Sports)

Tuesday, May 21st @ 5:30 in the MMS Cafeteria (Winter and Spring Sports)

Wednesday, August 28th @ 4:30 in the MMS Cafeteria

We encourage all incoming 7th graders, any 6th grader who will swim or wrestle, and their families to attend on May 21st and not wait until August, as the meeting is required prior to participating. This early approach is designed to provide information to families before summer starts, particularly to our earliest starting fall sports, and not take away a night from families in the middle of the summer.

Reminder: If your son or daughter plans on going out for athletics, please get your physical taken care of over the summer months. WIAA physical forms can be picked up in the main office at either the Middle School or High School.

It is necessary the school have a current physical examination on file for every athlete before the athlete is allowed to start practice. This physical examination must bear the signature of a physician. A physical examination taken April 1 and thereafter is valid for the following two school years; a physical examination taken before April 1 is valid only for remainder of that school year and following school year.

    • All Fall sports physicals for the 2024-2025 school year must be dated after 4/1/2023.
    • For physicals dated 4/1/23 – 3/31-24:  Good for remaining of the 22-23 school year, the 23-24 school year, and the 24-25 school year
    • For physicals dated 4/1/24 – 3/31-25:  Good for remaining of the 23-24 school year, the 24-25 school year, and the 25-26 school year
