Lincoln Elementary safety patrol advisor, Kristin Berres, wanted to find more funding for the patrol program at Lincoln so she applied for a grant through AAA.  Through the grant that Mrs. Berres submitted, Lincoln safety patrol was chosen as 1 of 10 AAA grant recipients… IN THE NATION! This grant will provide the safety patrol program with money to buy new safety equipment such as reflective vests, bright rain gear, and so much more to keep the program running safely and successfully in the upcoming years. 

Nick J., AAA Director of Public affairs for IL, IN, and WI, came to Lincoln Elementary on Friday, June 2^nd to present Mrs. Berres and her patrollers with their check.  The students in grades 3-6 attended the check presentation and heard about some of the great things that AAA does for various communities. Talk about an exciting last day of school!
