As a result of the Primary Election held on February 20, below are the six candidates as they will appear on the ballot for the April 2 Spring Election.

Seven individuals filed candidacy papers for three open seats for the 2024 Spring Election. A Primary Election is required to narrow the candidate pool to six, those six individuals will then appear on the ballot for the April 2 Spring Election. Below are the candidates as they will appear on the ballot for the Spring Primary on February 20.

Election Details

An election is to be held in the Unified School District of Marshfield, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. The following offices are to be elected to succeed the present incumbents listed.

Office Terms

The term of office for school board member is three years beginning on Monday, April 22, 2024, and expiring on April 25, 2027. A description of the school district boundaries can be obtained from the school district office.

For Candidates

A Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 in the office of the school district clerk. 

Nomination papers are not required.

Primary Election

If a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Additional Information

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election. If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

The following incumbent school board member(s) whose term of office expires in April 2024 and whose seat will be contested at the 2024 Spring Election have filed a Notification of Noncandidacy, as provided under section 120.06(6)(b)3 of the state statutes:

The deadline for filing a Notification of Noncandidacy is Dec. 22, 2023.

By filing the Notification of Noncandidacy, the incumbent(s) listed above have given advance notice that they do not presently intend to be a candidate for reelection to their school board office.

Except as otherwise provided under state law, a qualified elector of the School District who wishes to become a candidate and have their name appear on the election ballot for any of the school board seat(s) that will be contested at the 2022 Spring Election must file all necessary forms at the Board of Education Office located at 1010 East Fourth Street by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
