• Earliest Arrival: 7:30 AM - Supervision begins

• Building Entry:
  • 7:30 AM - Students eating breakfast - enter through the gym door
  • 7:40 AM - All other students
    • Students should wait on the back playground or in front of the main school doors. 

• Attendance Taken: 7:45 AM

For student safety, please do not drop off students before 7:30 AM, as supervision is not available.

Drop-Off Time:

• Madison doors open at 7:40 AM each day.

Drop-Off Locations:

• Grades 4K-2 (and siblings): Drop off in front of the school off Palmetto Ave.

• Grades 3-6 (and siblings): Drop off in the back upper parking lot off Apple Ave (one-way drop-off).

Parking & Walk-In Procedures:

• Parking is limited; if you plan to walk your student in, use the front parking lot or side streets and enter through the front doors.

• No parking along the sidewalk (drive-through drop-off only).

• No parking on the left-hand side of the driveway (this is a through lane).

• Do not drop students off in the left lane for safety reasons.

Visitor Check-In:

• All visitors must sign in at drop-off and receive a visitor hand stamp.

• Visitors may only enter through the front doors.

For student safety, please follow these guidelines and drive carefully during drop-off. 🚗🏫

Dismissal Time:

• School ends at 2:50 PM each day.

Pickup Locations:

• Grades 4K-2: Students will wait with their teachers in front of the school.

• Grades 3-6: Students will wait with their teachers in the upper parking lot.

Pickup Procedures:

• Families will pull through the designated pickup areas, and students will walk to their vehicles.

• Do not exit your vehicle during pickup.

• Parents may wait in front of the building but should not enter the school for dismissal.

Following these procedures helps ensure a smooth and safe dismissal process. 🚗🏫

• Checking In for Late Arrival (after 8 am)
  • Upon arrival, enter through the front doors.
  • Ring the doorbell
  • The secretary will assist with the check-in process*.

* Parents are required to bring in the student and sign them in.

• Early Dismissal
  • Notify the school in advance via phone, email, or written note stating the time and reason for early dismissal.
  • Upon arrival, enter through the front doors, ring the doorbell, and the secretary will contact the student’s classroom.
  • Parents/Guardian/Other Approved Pickups must sign out student.
  • Parents/Guardian/Other Approved Pickups wait in office for student to arrive.
  • Students will only be released to authorized individuals listed by the parent/guardian.

• Important Notes:
  • Students with medical disabilities requiring assistance must be accompanied when leaving school.
  • No student shall be released to anyone who is not authorized such custody by the parents.
  • If students are returning from an early dismissal, parents are required to sign their student back in and, if possible, provide any doctor notes at that time.

If your child will be absent for a planned reason, such as a family trip, surgery, medical appointments, or college visits, please follow these steps

• Request Form:
  • Parents or students need to request a pre-approved absence request form from the office or classroom teacher. 
• Return Form
  • Parents or students can return the physical form to the office

• Review Attendance Policy:
  • Students may be excused for up to 10 days per school year for pre-planned absences.
  • Missed coursework must be completed.
• Common Pre-Planned Absences Include:
  • Medical, dental, or legal appointments that can’t be scheduled outside school hours.
  • Funerals of relatives.
  • College visits or job fairs.
  • Family vacations.

You can submit appointment slips or medical documentation using any of the following methods:

• Drop Off: Bring a paper copy to the school office. If needed, documentation can also be brought in at a later date.

• Email: Send a screenshot of the appointment slip/reminder to the secretary Click Here to Email

• Show at Check-In: Present a screenshot of the appointment slip/reminder to the secretary when picking up or returning your student.
