4K Enrollment
4K Program Overview
Free Program
The School District of Marshfield's four-year-old kindergarten (4K) program is offered free of charge to all children who turn four years old on or before September 1.
One Year Preschool Experience
Designed as a one-year preschool experience, 4K prepares children for kindergarten the following school year.
Class Schedule
Classes meet Monday through Friday, with half-day sessions available in the morning or afternoon.
Strongly Encouraged
Participation in 4K is not mandatory but is highly encouraged as a foundation for learning.

Enrollment Period
Enrollment is open from Monday, January 13, through Friday, January 24. Registering during this time frame increases your child’s chances of being placed at their current daycare location or a site in your neighborhood.
Late Registration
Late registrations may not guarantee placement at your preferred site.
For Families Outside the District

Open Enrollment Application
If your family lives outside the Marshfield School District or you've moved out of the district while enrolled, you must complete an Open Enrollment Application.

Application Period
Open Enrollment Applications: The open enrollment period for the 2025–2026 school year is from February 3 through April 30.
Alternative Open Enrollment Applications*: These will be available after July 1 for the 2025–2026 school year.
