Community Engagement

What Is Community Engagement?

At the School District of Marshfield in Wisconsin, community engagement is central to our mission of building meaningful partnerships with the broader community. Through a variety of initiatives, we connect with local residents, businesses, and organizations to foster learning, growth, and collaboration beyond the classroom.

Key Initiatives

  • Community Events: Partnering with local groups to host events that promote education, health, and community unity.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Encouraging community members to get involved in school activities and mentorship programs.
  • Business Partnerships: Collaborating with local businesses to offer job training, internships, and career development opportunities.
  • Parent Engagement: Providing workshops and resources to support parents’ involvement in their children’s education.
  • Community Resources: Offering referrals and assistance for families accessing local services and resources.

Why We Do It

We believe that education extends beyond the classroom. By actively engaging with the community, we aim to support lifelong learning and empower individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive. Whether through hands-on workshops, literacy coaching, or community health events, our programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of our community and strengthen connections.
