Marshfield Outdoor Learning Sanctuary (MOLS)

The Marshfield Outdoor Learning Sanctuary (MOLS), located at 905 Tiny Tiger Court in Marshfield, WI, 54449, is a welcoming space for all. It is frequently used by students from Madison Elementary, Marshfield High School, and the Tiny Tiger Intergenerational Center.

Since 2009, MOLS has been a place for hands-on learning for people of all ages, from Pre-K to senior adults. Marshfield High School students have helped shape the sanctuary:

  • Building Technology students constructed arbors, boardwalks, and benches.
  • Agriculture students cleared trails, spread mulch, and planted native species.
  • Biology students studied wetlands and created educational signs.
  • Art students designed the red-winged blackbird logo.
  • Business and Information Technology students built the first MOLS website and added a geocache.

Madison Elementary students use the trails to learn about wetlands and exercise. K-12 teachers use the shelter as an outdoor classroom, and community groups hold meetings in this peaceful, natural setting.

MOLS is open year-round—everyone is welcome to visit!
